About us
Theatre Integrating Guidance, Education,
& Responsibility
TIGER is a powerful educational theatre tour
that uniquely brings professional actors together
with Plymouth State University’s Integrated Arts,
School Psychology, and Counselor Education
programs. Through its original productions and
interactive performances, TIGER offers schools,
children, parents, and communities expert tools
and strategies to address bullying and social
issues, making a meaningful impact on youth
well-being in educational settings.
Based on the anonymous writings and stories of
children and youth, TIGER performances
incorporate live actors, theatre, dance, and music to engage school audiences from K–12 in a
45-minute assembly-length production. Following
in the tradition of PSU’s award-winning ETC (Educational Theatre Collaborative), TIGER offers the
very best in theatre for all ages. A TIGER
performance seeks to transform thoughts,
feelings, and behavior to help both children and
young adults envision and understand their own
power in resolving difficult issues
TIGER has performed at the state level for the New Hampshire Department of Education, regionally for the New England Theatre Conference(NETC), and nationally for the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE). Internationally, TIGER has also performed for the National Drama International Conference at Durham University in Durham, England, the International Festival of Children’s Theatre (ASSITEJ) in Cairo, Egypt, and at the 2013 IDEA World Congress in Paris, France.
OUR 2025 – 2026 TOURING SHOWS
We are excited to announce two shows for our K-6 audiences: “Calm Quest” and “True Blue You”. The continuation of our critically acclaimed one-man show, “Triggered”, will also be presented, addressing our nation’s drug and alcohol epidemic for students in grades 6-12 and College.
Grades K – 6
A musical production about the importance of being true to yourself and what you know is right is sure to ring true in everyone’s hearts. It’s hard to be an upstander and tough to be a bystander too. This production attempts to unpack some of these important concepts through theatre, music and dance and to teach children to care about themselves and others.
Grades K – 6
Join Ricky on his journey through a typical school day as he embarks on a “quest for calm.” Along the way, he learns helpful tools and calming techniques from his friends, who share how they manage worry, stress, and fear. Through fun, relatable stories and songs, kids discover simple ways to feel more in control and confident – every day.
TRIGGERED 3.0
Grades 6 – 12; College
This riveting one-man show deals with our nation’s growing drug and alcohol epidemic through the personal journey of an individual recovering from substance use disorders. Playing over 20 different characters in this 55-minute production, the three actors help audiences better understand the devastating consequences faced by both the individuals with substance use disorders and the people around them who care.

According to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and
Emotional Learning (CASEL), social and emotional learning
(SEL) is the process through which children and adults
understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals,
feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive
relationships, and make responsible decisions. TIGER strives to
help the young people and adults in our audiences grow in their
social and emotional development, so that changes can be made
in order to lead a more positive and productive life.
